She/Her/Ella

Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, I identify as Chicana, Indigenous, and as a disrupter of systems of oppression. I believe in collective liberation and in creating spaces where healing, empowerment, and ancestral wisdom come together

You deserve a safe place where all of you can be seen, heard, and honored

A space where you can explore every part of yourself—even the ones you have difficulty accepting—and feel supported in navigating the challenges life has placed before you.

If you’re here, you know something needs to shift or change. Maybe you’ve been to therapy before and haven’t gotten what you were looking for (or worse, been hurt by it). You need someone willing to take the time to truly understand you: not to tell you “what” to do, but to partner with you on a journey of healing, justice, and wellness.

Maybe you feel powerless after a lifetime of navigating systems steeped in white supremacy or oppression, carrying the wounds of generations before you. You’re noticing this show up in your work, your relationships, and your friendships, but you’ve never felt safe enough to voice these things (without being told you’re “angry”). Perhaps life has changed in a big way recently, and despite doing everything you “should” do to accept it and move on, it’s not working.

We don’t live life in a vacuum. As humans, we move through and toward connection in our relationships. By examining how you connect with people, environments, and systems around you, we can find ways to foster and build connection—not only with yourself, but with the larger communities to which you belong.

This is a place for you.

My Approach:

My approach to therapy is rooted in autonomy, empowerment, and connection. I partner with you to help discover the skills and strengths within yourself so that, over time, therapy becomes something you no longer need. My role is to support you in unlocking your gifts, aligning with your values and identity, and building confidence to navigate life’s challenges with resilience.

Living in a brown, femme-presenting body myself, I understand the unique challenges faced by historically marginalized and oppressed communities. If you’ve felt overwhelmed carving out space for yourself within ruptured systems, I provide a culturally responsive, social justice-informed space to hold, witness, and support you.

When you work with me, you receive more than surface-level support—you gain access to deeply rooted, culturally responsive mental health services, individualized guidance, and tools for living in alignment with your identity, values, and goals.

Ketamine Assisted Therapy, Integration and Psychedelic Medicine

Healing intergenerational and historical wounds sometimes requires reclaiming ancestral ways of knowing. Psychedelic medicines, when used intentionally, can be one path to access these inner resources.

Currently, Ketamine is the only legal psychedelic for therapeutic use in Texas. It is a safe and effective treatment for conditions including depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) uses the psychedelic experience to enhance self-reflection and processing, allowing for deeper insight and personal growth.

I provide KAP in a collaborative, safe, and intentional way, integrating the work of a physician, therapist, and your own inner guidance. The dosing and therapeutic process are always a cooperative decision, tailored to your unique healing journey.

With over 15 years of experience, my work centers on supporting historically and intentionally marginalized communities. I am a member of a mental health rapid response team in Colorado through the IMatter program and have collaborated with case workers, CASA, legal professionals, and community organizations to provide advocacy, crisis support, and culturally responsive care.

I serve as the Clinical Director of Tree of Life Counseling Center and Founder and President of the Root of It Foundation, our nonprofit dedicated to community healing. My mission is to integrate ancestral wisdom, social justice-informed therapy, and empowerment practices to help individuals and communities heal and thrive.

During my experience in various San Antonio treatment facilities, I discovered that healing does not happen in solitude. I kept this in mind when founding Tree of Life Counseling Center. To effectively carry out this work, it is essential to engage with the community and have a supportive team of individuals who understand the sacred nature of our mission.
